Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program available in Oxford County
THE COUNTY OF OXFORD IS PARTICIPATING IN THE CANADA-ONTARIO AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM (AHP).IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY RENTING AND DON`T HAVE THE MONEY FOR A DOWN PAYMENT IN THE BANK, HOMEOWNERSHIP CAN NOW BECOME A DREAM REALIZED. THE AHP HAS COMMITTED MORE THAN $28 MILLION TO MAKE HOMEOWNERSHIP AFFORDABLE.THE HOMEOWNERSHIP COMPONENT OF THE AHP PROVIDES UP TO 10% IN DOWN-PAYMENT ASSISTANCE TO ELIGIBLE HOUSHOLDS WITH TOTAL INCOME WHICH DOES NOT EXCEED $74,300. APPLICANTS MUST BE RENTING, BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE AND HAVE ACCESS TO MORTGAGE FINANCING.THE HOME MUST BE NEW AND SELLING PRICE MUST NOT EXCEED $189,498.
